Well, I have had my GCC for almost five years and 'he' was 2 years old when I purchased 'him'. Today while putting 'him' down for the night I find an egg in the bottom of his sleeping cage. Imagine my surprise to find out my little guy is a girl! My mother had lovebirds and they were laying eggs after little more than a year. Why has it taken 7 years for my bird to lay her first egg?
