I've always had cockatiels and budgies, but it looks I may be adopting a sun conure that was rescued from the streets.
My friend notified me that as she was driving home from work, there was a bird cage in the street that had a sun conure in it that presumably fell out of someone's car. We've been trying to find the owner of this bird but nobody has come forward yet to claim it as theirs. She can't keep the bird and has considered giving him to me as I already have a setup for large birds.
My experience with these birds has been positive, they've been very affectionate and while this conure was shaken up at first, he seemed to warm up fairly quickly. I've heard horror stories of how loud their voices are, but what do you think of sun conures?
