Food bowl nesting........ lol

Hey everyone. A few weekends ago I had to toss my jenday's fleece sleep hut because she chewed a hole through it. Because of her disability I feel like I need to offer soft surfaces, so I did replace it with a new sleep hut, but it's not fleece this time since the fuzz was just too fun for her to chew I guess.

Welp, she seems to be protesting the new sleep hut, because when I popped behind the blackout curtain to clean up after bedtime I found her hunkered down in her food dish lol. I'm half expecting to find an egg in there tomorrow morning but didn't want to disturb her sleep more than necessary.

Her hormones have mostly evened out so I'm not going to remove the hut and bowls yet but if I find an egg I might have to figure something out lol...

oh no! i hope she gets used to the new hut, my bird chewed through her hut too, and stored all kinds of things inside the hole🙄
