GCC
Hello everyone.

I have a little GCC, Marty, who is 15 months old. Marty started to rub his beak in a weird way this afternoon and I am trying to figure out what might have caused this. It kind of looks like he is licking his beak or rubbing his tongue against his beak. First I noticed that around noon or so but the beak rubbing did not go away. This is what he does and other than I don't see anything different in his behavior. Does anyone have any idea about what this could be?

Thanks

did you feed him something sticky? Sootie does that if she has a little peanut butter or nut oil or mash or something stuck on the underside of her upper mandible. It doesn't last too long though, just until she licks the tasty thing off!

If he does it constantly I would have him checked out but mine do this occasionally.

Same here with sticky fruit/food. Maybe have him checked out just in case.

Looks like something stuck in his beak to me too. Maybe flip him over and take a look?
