I've had my conure for a year and he's a little under two now. I feed him totally organic food and give him a little bit of fruits and veggies every day it's been the same routine for a year. I don't own any teflon, I don't wear any perfumes and I never burn candles. He seemed totally absolutely fine until about 15 minutes ago he was sitting on my boyfriend's shoulder and he just seemed sort of dizzy, he was wobbling around a bit and then he started to vomit. It was clear with some chunks of his normal food. I caught him nibbling on a piece of day old popcorn that he found on the shelf next to where my boyfriend was sitting but it's just plain organic popcorn not seasoned at all, I took it from him anyway but I have doubt that's the problem as this was a couple hours ago now and I've given him this popcorn before but it's worth mentioning as it's the only thing other than his food he's eaten since this morning. After he threw up I tried to take him to a flat spot but he didn't want to be touched and he flew around sort of crazily up to his perch and he continued to wobble a lot and almost fall a few times, he looks like he's having trouble keeping his eyes open. There's no vet to take him to near me so I have no option but to wait until tomorrow. What could be the problem? Has anyone else had this happen or heard of this happening with a good outcome I love him so much I am a stay at home mom and my bird is always with me he is my little baby and I'm having a really hard time not knowing what to do in the mean time. He's my only bird as well.
