I'm new from MI. My companion bird is Elmo (AKA) nippy whom I adopted from a rescue or I should say adopted me.
He was basically unadoptable because he was so nippy in fact that's what they named him. His original owner died from cancer and the family gave him up.
I went to look at a Quaker and a Conure and the rest is history. He now steps up says peek a boo, pretty boy and good boy and shouts for me yelling daddy, daddy.
He is my very first bird.
I also have 2-male cats (Bert 20lbs and Ernie 17 lbs). We are just one big happy flock.
I would trade Elmo for anything.......
