Hello, I am a Jewish woman and would like to observe Hanukkah. My menorah would be in the same room as my parents and I was wondering which would be safer, using beeswax candles that burned for 30 minutes vs cups with olive oil in it that burns for 3 hours. I am not sure of the wick material
Thank you

I understand the special needs of tradition and the use of traditional items.

Contact your Rabbi and talk to him/her regarding using the small electric lights that appear as providing light like the traditional candles.

The problem is not the material used, but the gases given-off by burning them!

Please enjoy your safe observe Hanukkah!
