Any opinions on whether an Aviator harness or FlightSuit is better/more comfortable?
I have never used the flight suit, and don't really care to(not saying it's bad, I just don't have any reason to buy one). I think for small birds a flight suit would be ok, but I would never trust security to only Velcro if you plan to take your bird outside in it.
I use the aviator harness and really like it, I am confident that it is secure and the only way it would fall of is because of human error(not checking for wear or aggressive chewing). The aviator fits a bird really well, the fact that my galah can fly in one without showing any discomfort is impressive considering her under wings are bald as well as her back. The harness has never chaffed her or caused soreness/redness. She used to use the feather tether harness and that she chewed on whenever she wasn't distracted. With the aviator she only chewed on it a little at first from habit then never again.
If you you have smaller bird I think the flight suit is alright as long as your bird is ok with how bulky it is. I would never bring a fully flighted bird outside in one myself, a clipped smaller bird maybe.
Is your bird flighted? If so I would think it is a bit risky, just make sure you are very aware of your bird messing with the Velcro at all.Thank you! I have a sunday conure, so kinda midsized. Do you think the velcro would be risky for it?

The aviator harness is all one piece, so there are no pieces to uncle.
