Hello there,
So, my love birds first egg has hatched today, and I need some tips please, since it's the first time for them to lay eggs. I have some questions, shall I pick it out to feed it or the mother will do?, what food should I put for them? Shall I remove the nest or leave it until other eggs hatch?
Thanks :D

Leave it to the mother, especially if it's their first time. Check that she feeds the baby and doesn't harm it. Hand feeding before the 25th day is tricky, and shouldn't be done on their first hatching. Check also that they have enough material to avoid splayed legs. Provide plenty of quality food including egg good, since it's thinner and more suitable for babies.

If for some reason they do get splay legs you can fix it if you catch it by 2 weeks for optimal results. 3 weeks at the latest.

Google fix splay leg and you should find the info you need.

Hows thr baby doing?
