Hello!

I'd like to make treat sticks for my birds, using different seeds I have and dried fruit/nuts, however I have no clue how to make it all stick together and make it harden...

Ideas anyone?

I'd get a variety of seeds and then place them in honey. I'd then put the mix in aluminum foil for it to act like a mold. Once that was done I'd put it in the freezer.

My budgies loved it a bit soft so I never had to harden.

You can mix the seed/ nut mix with some egg white ( 1 egg white per cup of seed ), then form it and bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes to harden.

I grind down pellets and nuts and some dried fruit; mix it in eggwhite and honey and then roll it about in seeds.

I make little balls of this like nutriberries and then take then with me on trips as Porter's main food for vacation xP

Then I bake it for about 15 minutes and let it set.

It hardens overnight in the fridge ^^

Oooh thank you for that! I think I'll do the foil molds and use the egg whites as a glue. :) Is gelatin ok to use as well to make it stick and go hard?

I'll have to try your treats Jugoya.
