I can fly

Rio flew today he took off from the top of his cage circled the living room with sharp u turns and perched on top of the curtain rod. Then he couldn't come down on his own. He called out saying Rio hi ,Rio pretty bird. My husband had to get him down. My daughter is having a blast watching him fly. Am I crazy to feel like a mother who has just seen her baby walk?

I think it's a blast to see them fly the first time! There are youtube video's to help train them to fly down and fly up. It's a common problem with indoor birds.

The first time we saw sissy fly..we were in aww. We knew at that moment that she would grow out her flights.
