1 Blue and Gold Macaw named 'Major'
Hey there, Ive been helping my daughter take care of her Blue and Gold Macaw for quite a few years now. I've joined the ParrotForum because she has recently gone off to college and I'm on my own and he's already plucking and stressing and I'm looking for any valuable info I can to help me take care of this beautiful bird while she is away.:blue2::blue1:

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Welcome to the forums, thanks for seeking help for your daughter's B&G. Birds suffer anxiety from separation, and that is likely the cause of the stress and plucking.

Are you able to Skype/Face Time or exchange other visual communication with your daughter? Birds definitely process images and voices from a video screen. Many parronts do this while away on vacation or extended business travel.
