Hi,
I just brought my new DYH amazon home. He's not a bay but I don't think he's that old, maybe 2 years. I put him in a very large cage and he seems really happy. The only thing that concerns me is he's making what I can only describe as a huffing noise. Is he upset? He doesn't make is all the time and he's climbing all over the cage and hanging upside down. I have 2 cats and a small dog that are curious of him, is that too stressful for him. When I had him on a perch stand he was screaming his head off, but when I put him in the cage he seemed more calm. Any thought s would be appreciated. I want to make sure I start him off on the right foot. Also, any suggestions to get him to quite down when he starts to scream would be good too, but I know it also comes with the bird territory.
