Funny, my CAGS don't really tolerate being on their backs... hanging upside down like bats, yeah. But not on their backs. (That would be the macaws.)

Erithacus- your Grey is perfect! Please tell me how you did it? Any reading materials you'd suggest? I am a new CAG owner. We got her from a breeder and she's 3.5 months old. We're target training her with a clicker to step up because the breeder didn't teach her anything, and so far she's a bit too distracted to learn commands and uninterested in food bribes. How did you go about teaching Kilaya to be such a good girl? I really wish I could learn from your experience because it's really hard to find material about raising baby african greys.

I learned from youtube. I started with target and clicker training. I usually train him in the morning before breakfast. Sometimes the training can be very frustrating. He doesn't respond all the time and treats don't work either at times. Kilaya is not dna tested yet. I don't know whether is a boy or girl.

Cute! I love how the Mynah and the parrots hang out together. I hear that Mynah's can talk and mimic as well as Greys! They used to be more common here in the US, but now they're hard to get.

Because the export of hill mynah is prohibited. And captive breeding is almost impossible.
