Hi everyone, I just wanted to share. I recently bought a ceramic heater for my birds, I figured ceramic would be safe. I decided not to chance and researched it :22:. I found my question and answer on the LASKO website.....
4. Does my Lasko heater have Teflon? Can I use it around my birds?TOP
We understand that birds are more sensitive than other animals and to our knowledge, Teflon is not found in our products. However, there could be other compounds found in the product that could potentially be harmful to birds. Therefore, we do not recommend the use of our products around birds.
I just wanted to share, I decided to return the heater and stick to my oil heaters.
