PB loves bottle caps and I wondered what she'd think of Legos. Turns out, bottle caps have nothing on Legos! :D

Soo I raided my son's Lego collection and made a test perch before these and she will literally sit on it for hours tonguing everything and pulling pieces off. It's adorable. As for these pics, sorry about the low light but I wanted her to play on them while my family and I had game night, and I knew if I didn't take the pic first there wouldn't be much to take a picture of. :09:

That's such a good idea!! now that my boys are in their teens they're ignoring the small fortune in lego accumulated. At least until they're adults and remember how cool it is. My fids would get a kick out of that, as long as the pieces were big enough.

You did a great job with those and I agree that it's an excellent idea! Though, my Kiwi may be a tad 'large' for lego perches:54:, I bet he would love some integrated into his toys.

Lucy (my mom's DYH) used to come land in the middle of my 'lego projects', decimating anything I had built and then steal a piece or 2 before taking off. She stole many of my toys and ripped them up. I never really thought about giving parrot legos after I grew out of them or voluntarily before. In fact, I think my mom kept all my legos for 'when I have kids'. At this point, using them for toys for Kiwi may be a better, uh, utilization of them :) (though my mom may not like to hear it). hmmmm......

That is adorable! What a great idea!!! You can make different scenes with the different Lego kits. Like the pirate ship or whatever...the sky's the limit! when I get home tonight, i'm going to see if there are any Legos left from when my youngest still lived at home.

Haha everyone is digging up Legos and I love it. I hope to see pics of any creations!

PB is still in love with them and has spent half the day again playing with them. Her favorite thing is dismembering the Lego men and flinging their tiny parts far from the perch area - where most will never be found again (except by the broom). And she is thorough. Once she has dropped a Lego she usually ignores it and chooses a new one to remove and play with. However, a partially dismembered Lego man has no hope of escaping her notice. She will persist until every hat, head, weapon, and limb has been severed from the body. She's merciless. LOL

Kiwibird, you never know what the future holds. There is no reason to crush your mom's grandparent dreams just yet, maybe compromise and let her keep half the Legos on ice, "just in case". ;)
