Hello all! I am new and very much learning from my mistakes, so please go easy. I'm doing an overhaul of everything that causes respiratory issues right now, and I realized that I'm still using normal cat litter for my cats (yes, I know, cats and birds don't usually mix but here we are). I've been looking into alternatives and I've found this wheat scoop cat litter. I've used corn cob before with the birds before I switched to just newspaper, but I'm wondering if this wheat scoop would be safe to use in my cat litter box? The birds absolutely cannot get to it, I'm just worried about particles in the air. Thanks in advance!

Iโ€™m not sure, I donโ€™t own cats.

What are the ingredients? I wouldnโ€™t recommend corn cob, just because itโ€™s prone to growing fungus/bacteria.

Maybe someone else who has used this will chime in.
I think itโ€™s fine as long as itโ€™s odorless and is in a different room.
Itโ€™s also very beneficial to run a HEPA air purifier in the room your birds are in.

I've got a very good hepa filter already. All I can find is that it's made of processed wheat (which isn't super helpful) but apparently it's low dust? So maybe it would be better?

I mean it sounds safe to me and since itโ€™s in a different room I think it should be okay.
