hi everyone, I wonder if I can get a bit of feedback on a lovie dilema.
I have 6 lovebirds. 4 peach face and 2 fischer. for the last 3 months they have been living in my outdoor avairy which is 6ft by 6ft with a roof half panneled at the back and at night I cover the sides. the weather is now getting cold at night so was thinking of bringing them back indoors at night and fly in the avairy outside during the day when the temps a bit warmer.
BUT.......... 2 pairs have laid eggs in the last 2 weeks while I was on holiday. they both have homemade nest boxes.
so my dilema is this..... should i bring them indoors at night (with their nest box n eggs) or leave them outside until babies are born. or will it be too cold for the babies?? last night it was 8 degrees. I live in france near paris. In the day its about 15 to 20.
the way I take my birds indoors from the outside avairy is I have a large cage on wheels that I put against the outdoor avairy. my birds go on a stick and I put them in the cage then wheel it into the house for the night. I could attatch the nest boxes to this cage so the babies travel with the parents . then during the day leave this cage against the outdoor avairy so the parents can go fly and return to the babies when they want.
OR should I leave them outside until babies are out of the nest box??
would love some feedback........
