Presently have six Greenwing Macaw (17 yo), Red Fronted Macaw (12 yo), Red Lored Amazon (17 y.o.), Lilac Crowned Amazon (about 43 y.o.) and a Congo African Grey (11 y.o.)

That is the most adorable thing I especially love the one where she's lying on her back on the kid's bed. That bird is more handleable and tame than a lot of pet parrots! Surprising from a species which is usually a wild bird. Amazing!
I always dislike this kind of thing, it's quite common for Australian magpies to be 'saved' by people, when they're only fledging and quite safe/healthy.
I guess it's a good lesson for the kids though, in caring for animals.

Okay, I can see your point of view ... I never would have thought of it that way, since where I'm from you just don't hear of or see that sort of thing!
