....ended up in a total mess. But! It was tons of fun. I was feeling over confident today and asked the breeder if I could give it a try. He coached me through it and between Kyleigh pumping and my nervousness...we made a big mess..But got a cute picture out of it.

Haha at least you had fun and the breeder was right there :). Cute. Now imagine if she was at home with you and you had no help which is sadly what a lot of breeders do.. Sounds like this breeder is not only a good one, but is giving you a great experience as well.

What a precious photo! Did you end up wearing some of the formula, too? :D

It's great that the breeder is teaching you, and giving you hands-on experience. That's the best way to learn! It'll get easier as you practice more, I promise! :)

...and I don't think Kyleigh minded the mess one bit, LOL.

Presently have six Greenwing Macaw (17 yo), Red Fronted Macaw (12 yo), Red Lored Amazon (17 y.o.), Lilac Crowned Amazon (about 43 y.o.) and a Congo African Grey (11 y.o.)
Panama Amazon (1 Y.O.)
When do you NOT end up wearing formula when hand feeding?!

Yeah, it's harder than it looks, eh?!

But it's good experience if you have someone who knows what you are doing showing you the ropes.

I am definitely a lucky one. The fella lives 30 minutes from me and is retired. He lets me come by any time I ask. Of course I try not to come every day...but have you seen Kyleigh? She's too cute to not see as much as possible haha
