For the past few days, I've been in discussion with some of you over my new book in progress. I'm going to spend the next few months working on my new book which I will attempt to PUBLISH!!!!
The new title of the book is currently on debate. So, I will make a poll for you guys to vote for the title. There will be two choices that I have for you all to pick. Voting will run for a week.
UPDATE: Title has been chosen for the book! It's going to be called, Feathered Fugitives. Thank you to those who voted!
The book is about a group of parrots who live in a horrible pet store, in San Francisco. So, they plan an escape and succeed. Then, they journey across America, meeting other parrots and animals that guide them along the way. In the end, they'll find a forever home at a bird sanctuary in Key Largo, Florida.
Here's what the blurb (the summary on the back of the book) will be, at the moment, if you feel it needs to be edited, please feel free to let me know!!:
"A riveting tale about a group of courageous parrots, from a pet store in San Francisco, whose lives are forevered changed. They start a cross-country journey to escape the harsh realities. Along the way, they meet new friends who guide them along, but some enemies are made as well. The journey puts friendships at the test, but their love always prevails. They travel as far as they can, to find the one place they can truly belong; home."
The book will feature some of the birds on here we all know and love! But I'm not going to spoil the book for you guys! You'll just have to wait and deal with some sneak peeks! I'll give you guys three character whom you might recognize: Mishka the African Grey, Levi the Linoleated Parakeet, and Eddie the Eclectus. For those of you who know your fids are in the book, please keep it to yourselves to prevent spoilers
ONE MORE THING: PLEASE!! IF YOU HAVE ANY CRITICISM, ADVICE, SUGGESTIONS, OR EDITS FOR ANYTHING I POST FROM MY BOOK, PLEASE TELL ME!!!!. KEEP It CLEAN THOUGH PLEASE. This allows me to help make the book better.
So for now, check this thread daily for news, updates, and sneak peeks. For now, happy waiting
