My soon to be new Goffin's Cockatoo
I have been looking for the right bird for me for quite some time now. I went from a grey to a rosebreasted cockatoo and then I found the sweetest cockatoo...a goffin. He is about 7 months old. which I am fine with.DNA sexed male. he was born in may. He is the last one from last year that the breeder had and has gotten lots of attention and is very sweet. I was wanting a cuddly bird...and I think I found him. I gave my deposit today and will be picking him up on Wednesday.
I had been in Texas but knew we would be moving. Originally thought to Idaho. Then we found this great place in Alabama. The breeder is actually in Florida about 2 1/2 hours away. So really not to bad. She is small scale. Breeds only goffins and Blue and gold Macaws.I have done tons of research on them and lots of others as well.I decided against the rose breasted mainly because I could not find a breeder close enough and did not want to ship. The Grey I decided against because i wanted a bird that would bond to both me and my husband and most people I had spoken with said they usually bond with one or the other. and again there were no breeders that were near me. There were plenty in petstores But I won't get anything from a pet store. They almost always feed seeds cause its cheaper for them but not healthy for the birds. So I looked honestly for over 4 months I have been looking. Finally found the one. His name is Sydney.attaching the only 2 pics I have of him. To me he has just the sweetest face.
