Hello everyone, so I currently got a female Electus as of last night, it was very sudden but her owner felt like she couldn’t give this beautiful bird the proper care so i took her in. I need to go buy a cage today because I want a bigger cage for her but as of right now she is in a travel crate and she has not come out. I’ve left the door open for her and put food and water on the inside of it so she can drink and eat without fear.
I’ve been up all night, it is 7:30AM here and I’m searched up everything I could find on Electus and even went through most of the threads on this site that talk about Electus and their diets. I chopped up some grapes, lettuce, bananas, and carrots for her as of now because I was told she eats those and she has dried fruit as well. This electus was weaned maybe 2 weeks ago onto fruits, pellets, and seeds so i am working on the healthy diet today.
Should I just leave her in the crate or should I take off the top of the crate so she can look around? She is a little hostile because she doesn’t know me but she was born in August of 2017 and is still a baby.
