Because of all the nasty fireworks going off and this is her first time experiencing their bang I thought i'd let her stay up with me a bit later tonight, but obviously they didn't phase her and she scuttled down the cage door (not her main cage! I take her travel cage downstairs with me) and snuggled against my hand and purred herself to sleep :D
hopefully she'll trust me enough to properly snuggle in my hands and have a cosy sleep there someday!

Rbird cares nothing about fireworks either.

I'm so jealous of folks whose birds sleep on/with them.
Apparently, I can't be trusted to sleep around. He watches me like a hawk. Lest I steal his food or pull his tail.

I'd love some photos of that, if you could figure a way to make it happen.

Aw, haha not to worry! One of my budgies watches me carefully for ages with one eye open before deciding she can sleep :D

She sometimes slips a bit more into my hand while sleeping but quickly wakes up and sits herself up a bit more! So I think she's just testing how safe my hands are, and I'm hoping soon she'll realise my hands can be a lovely little bed for her!! :)
