Hi Guys
Went away to Te Anu on our South Islands West Coast for the weekend the other week and got some pics of our NZ native birds the Kea was wild. The Takahe were in a sanctury.
The Kea are the ones you might of heard of or seen if you've visited NZ. They are a very cheecky naughty mountain parrot that will steal your lunch especially chocolate from your backpack. They will rip off the rubber windscreen seals or anything else they can get their beaks into including the arial from your car or worse.
And we think pet parrots can be destructive.
The Takahe is one of our endangerd flightless bird. There are only around 200 left.
I have also included a couple of links incase anyones interested.
One is a kids site but its a good read.
