Kitchen Physician - Greening of the Parrot Diet

i came across this, when making sure that the whole brocoli plant is ok for the nut, as we grew some purple sprouting brocoli for this year

i push the stems lengthways onto a fruit kebab thing, leaves an all an nut loves it!
she loves to shred the leaf an then the stalks an will eat some as she goes along, plus it it an excellent time killer/chew toy!

so i will be looking at other ways of getting plants into her cage, and hope some of you already have some ideas for me:10:

I cut veggies into matchsticks and cram them into a whiffle ball, hang that in the cage with plastic links. They watch tentatively as i fill it, then pick everything out. They dont eat all of it, but its been a good way to get them try new things.
