During the month of May I noticed blood in Ringo's stools.
We took him to the vet, said he had a virus of the intestines called Colitis.
He was given an in injection and med's which helped.
We took him back to the vet 3 times, he got injections and more med's.
Within a few days it had disappeared.
This morning I was there when he passed a stool I NEARLY DIED
I have never seen it this bad
With Colitis they vomit and loose weight.
Ringo's weight is normal, he has never vomited and he is so cheerful and playful all the time.
He is feed only NutriPhase, never eaten human food, as we were advised. His feeding bowl is cleaned 2 times a day.
He drinks water as usual.
His water is changed 2 times day.
He got an injection and de-worming pills.
The vet was not too concerned as he did not have a fever !!!!
Vet said it should disappear within about 4 days !!!!!!
Is there anything else I can do, making sure Ringo is healthy.
Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
