I was talking to a friend about Zack and he asked me if I fed him rocks to help with digestion. I know that chickens eat rocks but didn't know if it should be a part of his diet.

what do ya all think?

He's talking about grit and no it's not needed. Too much can cause major impaction and it can be deadly.

Yikes! No way would I give my zon rocks or grit! I know ostriches purposely eat rocks to help with digestion but I don't think zons need it.

Wild birds (mainly non-hookbills) usually eat grit to help with the digestion of the seeds they consume in a hurry... Hook bills don't need grit because they use their beak to open seeds and eat them without the shell. I don't even give my budgies grit because they sit there and hull all their little seeds. :)
