Apparently Ona decided to chew on her wooden ladder. Should I toss it or is it ok to let her keep it? Not sure if those little wood splinters are ok.

Once time Zenek chewed 3/4 of his ladder and everything was fine

Once time my online friend's conure hurt his tongue a bit on a wooden toy (he didn't want to eat solid food for a day, later everything was fine if I remember correctly)

If you are very worried, you can toss, personally I wouldn't be worried because chewing is a part of parrot life and possible tongue hurting seems to not be very often (I think that if it was more often, we would hear about it much more times) and its results aren't very serious

Fay is constantly chewing wood and it’s never hurt her. It seems like most bird toys are made of softer woods that are less likely to give them splinters. If it was me, I wouldn’t worry about it. However, if you think it might really cause you to worry then you may be better off tossing it for your own peace of mind 🙂
