Just a silly story about Georgie (formally known as George...oops by previous owners). Anyway my sweet Georgie is NOT a feather pickers. Instead when one if her feathers or down fall out she has a fit scampers over picks it up and desperately tries to stick it back in! Usually we have to take it (steal it) from her as she is just so upset that she lost a feather!

That is funny! My conure takes her long ones to use to pry up the newspaper under the grate so she can tear it up.

I've seen lovebirds though shred newspaper and stick it under their feathers to decorate themselves or something. Or to try to make themselves more attractive?
