So this morning, my groceries were delivered. As I was trying to put them away, and trying to cut up Bundii's food for the week, Bundii was getting impatient. So I decided she could "help". So Bundii's method of helping, is hanging upside down from the front of my shirt trying to grab the knife. Obviously, this is not going to work.
Next I try putting her on the table stand that I have for her but she won't use. I was thinking that she might use it this time as she really wanted to "help". Nope it is still going to eat her alive - or so she would have you think. Back to plan A. She can sit on my arm/shoulder and I will bat her away when she goes for the knife. Small success. The task that normally takes half an hour, took over one and a quarter. But I just could not put her back in her cage as she was actually wanting to spend time with me. A rare occasion.
I just wish I had thought to take some pics. There is nothing quite like a 50 cm Alex hanging from the front of shirt, tail in your face and you trying not to chop your finger off. Please do not misunderstand - Bundii was never in any harm. I was watching her very carefully.
Any ways fast forward a few hours and I have made chicken and sweet corn soup - love the fact that winter is coming and you can have soups. No help from Bundii on this one. She was catching up on some sleep after a busy morning. The slow roast pork shoulder has been on for 4 hours and just waiting on hubby to come home from work in a couple of hours. Bundii's way of helping is to yell every time the timer on the oven goes off. Now you would think after the third or so time it has gone off, she would realise that I too, can hear it and get up to change it, but no. Every single time, she "helps".
Anyways Sunday is nearly over and I just wanted to share the "help" that I received today via one very "helpful" Alex.
