Suitable cage

I’m liking a canary wing parakeet that I’ve seen.
Will THIS cage do?

If not which cage do you recommend?

I am not familiar with the species you are referring to.
But generally speaking Parrots like being high.
So most likely your bird will spend 90% of the time in the top 1/4 of the cage.
Guess what I am saying is the cage has a lot of vertical space that won’t get used.

Some birds cockatiels/budgies are ground feeders and will go down to the bottom and hunt for lost pieces of food.

This looks like the bird I’m speaking of. There’s one for sale at Petco.
I guess it’s considered a parakeet. Any help is great.

The cages I have my Cockatiels in are wider I think but they all have legs/stands to sit on .

What are the dimensions of your cage? I originally had a canary but he passed. I’d like to just use the cage I have. It’s the cage I initially inquired about in this thread.

32"L x 19"W x 55"H
Will these dimensions do? If not what‘s the minimum? Again for a canary wing parakeet

I have to guess, I get anywhere near the Tiels cages with a tape measure they freak out .
But I believe they the 3 main cages not the small ones stacked on top are 24 inches wide.
They are all very old.

I believe the rule of thumb for cage size is the width of the cage should be double the width of your bird with wings extended.
They should be able to flap their wings inside the cage without bashing them into the sides.
My Tiels frequently hang upside down from a perch and flap like mad.
I have read it's a territory display . like saying this is MINE.
