Just as a matter of interest, today was the hottest day in Cape town in 100 years at 42 degrees Celsius. I think that translates to 107 Fahrenheit.

What is the temperature in your area this time of year?

Wow 107 degrees is hot to me! The weather is pretty erratic here this Spring... It goes from rainy one day to in the 80's a few days later.

Temps and climate varies here pretty widely depending on what area of Southern California, but where I'm at is not the hottest, yet still gets up to 100 in the summer. I hate it!

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
As Julie mentioned, temps in Southern California vary greatly.

I live in a northern suburb of San Diego; this time of year temps generally range from 45F/8C at night to 72F/22C by afternoon. Some clear nights permit lows near freezing. Interestingly, our lows are a bit cooler than some other locations equidistant from the coast. Microclimates!!
