We didn't get Kiwi our Hahn's Macaw yet, but we decided to take home her cage to get it out of the way, and here it is!!! It is 24" X 22" X 60"

Very nice!!! Just a quick question; Is that where you plan on keeping the cage? I worry about the fire place... One becasue it may get the cage hot, and two, your parrot may chew the fire place.

It is usually hot around here in california, so we have no need for the fireplace haha. So we just never use it. With my old GCC Buddy, I think we used it once, and I brought him upstairs to my room with me...The cage usually doesn't get hot. Most of the heat just reflects on things right in front of it!

Cali isn't always that warm. It can get pretty cold depending on where it is. Hope your fireplace is safe from the beak of your new guy. LOL. They do love to remodel.

I was going to mention you might want to pull it away from the fireplace a little bit too. Pi is just a wee lil conure and she's tried to do a bit of remodeling for me. Otherwise it looks great! Good luck!

Haha, now that I think of it I probably will, because I remember my GCC trying to chew on it sometimes when he figured out he could, and I know the hahn's are chewers! Thanks for the advice everyone!

You would be shocked at how many home here in central Florida that have fireplaces. It's more of a novelty. My house has a fireplace in it. I never use it.
