Hello everyone. So next Monday, October 17, I'm getting my first large parrot (a blue and gold macaw). I'm extremely excited to meet my new feathered companion, but I'm also nervous. The bird is very young (about 4 months) and he/she is completely weaned. I will be giving him a pellets, fresh fruits and veggies, and sprouts. I have a nice sized cage and some toys I plan on gradually introducing. I plan to feed fruit/veggies/sprouts in the morning and pellets in the afternoon and clean out all bowls (I have three) each day and provide fresh water each day. If any of you guys have any advice, comments, and warnings please let me know. I just want my little guy to be as happy, healthy and safe as possible thanks.
