I thought it would come with that mesh door which is why I showed it D=...

You can always take it to the store and return it right?

I guess I have to just wait and see whether it has the mesh door or not once it gets here, and decide what to do from there. My father will try to return it and then buy the $25 version if they end up being the same thing. We'll just zip tie our own mesh over the door, in that case, I guess.

Im not sure how you will be using your travel cage, so my experience may not be relevant to you as it is not collapsable.

I cut the front off an old backpack and bought the smallest cage available (1/2 inch spacing, budgie cage) which I tied into the back of the back pack. Then put shade cloth on top. I use this for my GCC in the car (you can buckle it in with a seat belt) for travelling in the RV and for taking him sailing. It is also great to take your bird out for a walk.

The cage I bought was A$25 and I already had the backpack.
