What does your annual wellness exam include?

The first year included a visual exam, comp labs, and fecal, $300. This year, with a different A-vet, it included a visual exam, comp labs, and throat culture (which I declined), $199. I declined the throat culture because the test costs $177 and Chico had no sign of sinus or throat issues/infections. Unfortunately I was not able to discuss the reasons my A-vet had prescribed this test. I did tell her that Chico was sneezing and picking his right nostril recently which I believe was due to the number of new feathers around his nares and that I would keep an eye on it. He has never had a wet discharge from his nostrils. Today he seems back to normal.

So what does your annual wellness exam include and what is the cost breakdown if you have it.

$42 exam (office visit)
$146 avian comp lab
$177 throat culture
$4 clean-up

$35 micro chipping

Rosie always gets testing done, so it cost around $300 as well. Kenji was also around that price, but it was his first check up with me and he hadn't had a check in 3 years.
