So I've had Stephen for a bit now but I still can't figure out if he's just a dull colored Green Cheek or some other variant.

I'll post pictures but to help: His tail feathers are a dusky gray with perhaps a bit of a red/maroon tint. His upper body is green with blue feathers on his wings that are tipped in black.

Anyway, here are the best pictures I can drum up.

Lastly, in the photo with the cat, I was right there watching closely. No worries, he was in no danger. (She's 21, I move faster than she does)

Any thoughts on what he might be is appreciated.

He appears to be a Turquiose or Aqua mutation (from what I can tell :) )

Your bird is a turquoise yellowsided; absolutely no doubt about it!

Yeah, when that got mentioned above I looked that up. Dead freakin' ringer.

And to be honest, I don't care what he is, he's my little buddy.

Turquoise yellow-sided it is, then!

I *LOVELOVELOVE* that turquoise... looks a LOT like the Rickeybird's turquoise flights and secondaries. I see some of the Rickeybird's golden/green/bronzes on his back, too. Gorgeous in the sun. They're definitely related.

Beautiful, beautiful bird. So coolio that there are peeps here who know so much about the mutations...
