13yr. old male umbrella cockatoo,
we call him Amigo!

7yr. old Goffin cockatoo, she IS Sassy!!
I just got a new iPad and am hoping to be more proficient at posting photos, let's see!

If this works, you are going to see Amigo in the grape vines that are under our deck and My scruffy Sassy girl!

Very nice! I especially like Amigo, but don't tell Sassy! lol

I was just noticing, today, that Sassy's beak is looking a little long, what do you think? I've never had to have Amigo's beak trimmed, he's a chain saw and keeps it trim.

They are both so incredibly beautiful! So, with your iPad can you post pictures direct to the forum? I have an iPad, and I have wondered about that.

they are stunning! and so is your home! those grape vines and the scenery are gorgeous!

Beautiful photos... Thanks for sharing.

Hi Mozzie, I'm still in training but when my college student son gets up from his nap, I'll be able to answer your question!

Beautiful birdies, I love u2's but I would never get a large too!
Perhaps a goffins because Sassy is so adorable, look at that face!

Thanks Mare Miller! I am not too good with technical things at all, but am trying to learn.

What a beautiful pair. I am living vicariously through you with your toos. I stopped by our local pet shop today and was seduced by a beautiful 6 week old umbrella, I couldn't leave the store. I MUST BE STRONG!!! For now I'll just watch su Amigo.

Aw look at that face! He is so handsome, and look at the size of that beak!

Very nice photos! And kudos are figuring out the picture posting too! :)

Hi RescueMe, an umbrella cockatoo would be my first pick, if I lived outside in a forest. These are such amazing creatures. Very loyal, brave and protective. As a house pet, no...no,no. Not just for your sake, but for theirs. It breaks my heart that so many are in rescues and it's because they are what they are, they act the way they do because they can't help it. I think it would be such a good thing for breeders to quit breeding them, only because they are so difficult to live with.

My son says that you all need to rent a college student if you need help posting, THEY need the money! Ha! Leave it to a smart kid to come back with THAT comeback!

Ok, here are my notes,,,
#1-download the free 'photo bucket' app.
#2-upload photos from iPad, onto photo bucket
#3-select the photo that you would like to upload
#4-there will be icons in the top right corner, select the icon that looks like a chain link.
Then press IMG code.
#5-before or after writing thread, paste IMG code in thread by tapping screen twice and
Press paste.

Good luck!

Great pics and nice looking birds. From that angle anyway, I don't think Sassy's beak looks bad at all. Amigo looks like a love sponge, but from your description I gather looks can be decieving. At least he was willing to behave himself for a few minutes. LOL.
