A great birthday gift! Chipper ate carrots now!

Today is my birthday (October 18). And Chipper gave me a great present! I got her to eat carrots! I'm so happy! She's being such a good little birdie. For the past couple of days, I was able to get her to eat apples after I chopped them up with a food chopper into tiny pieces. I then put them on a paper plate and showed them to her. I ate a few pieces in front of her, and so of course she had to try it. The second time, I didn't even have to convince her. I just showed her the plate and she ate on her own. And today, I was able to get her to eat carrots! In fact, she actually seemed to like them and kept going for more!

I love Chipper so much, and I want her to be healthy and live for a very long time. So seeing her eat healthier food has really made my day. I didn't think I would ever be able to get her to eat anything but seeds! She's usually so stubborn.

Happy birthday!! That is great to get your bird eating carrots. I always had budgies who tended to be 'stubborn' about what they would eat and having them eat healthy is a great feeling.
Other than my birthday (10/10), your birthday is the second most common among people I know.
