I just realized that I never introduced Neytiri, our blue mutation Crimson Rosella. She sadly lost her mate and came to us back in January from a good friend (NFFH here on the forum). She can imitate the cockatiels perfectly, she sings Spike's off key song perfectly. She is not tame as of yet, but we are working on it.
A belated thank you to Stephen for coming up with the perfect name for her. The camera on my hubby's phone is terrible so am using the pics from before she joined us. Thank you NFFH for the awesome picture montage!

Wow Terry...what a pretty thing..Blue being my fav color..gorgeous.

BTW...how is your Dactyl doing?;) ( gotta love that name lol)

Jim

Thanks Jim! I also love blue, and she literally took my breath away the first time I saw her.

Dactyl is good, lol! Eats like a pig, and is currently doing a woodpecker imitation on the wood in his cage in the evenings. He spends hours pounding away at it, we are going to have to replace the wood soon.

Wow, now that is one true Looker! Even a confirmed Amazon Snob took a triple look!

Sad place to start from, right place to recover - in your home!

Dayam, gorgeous terry!

So beautiful, Terry! Congrats on the new addition!

Now that you mention that she does kind of look like a giant Budgie! Stephen (Anansi) did great picking out her name for sure!

That is one spectacularly beautiful Rosella!!

Jim, she is really laid back. She loves to play, her favourites are anything with cardboard, wood or vine balls. She is pretty quiet as well. She whistles, and makes this weird noise that sounds like a coffee pot perking. She does have a call, but it is not really loud at all either compared to everyone else.

Jim

What a beauty

Thank you, Tami!

Awesome, my daughter had just asked me why we don’t ever see blue/purple bird’s!

I must have been reading her mind!

Wow Terry! If I saw her photo anywhere else online, I'd assume photoshop. What an amazing looking bird, those colorations are almost unreal!

Gravy! One beautiful bird!!

April, I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw her! She and her mate were at my club's bird show last year, and I couldn't stop looking at them, but couldn't afford to bring them home. A friend got them, and knew how much I loved them so when her mate passed away, Neytiri came to us. We also have a plucked Eastern Rosella who is slowly letting his feathers come back in (the person who had him originally sold his mate, argh!) and they keep each other company in side by side cages.

Gravy! One beautiful bird!!

Thank you:)

rosellas are awesome, don't think that species/subspecies is legal here in aus, may be on license though. Btw, what is the bird in your profile picture, it looks super cool.
