Hi there BreakingNewz, and welcome to the forum.
Yes, I've heard of BirdsbyJoe. He was robbed after hurricane Sandy and lost quite a few birds.
GREAT cage you are getting foryour baby!!Do you have a name for him yet? Also, do you know what type of Eclectus he is? He is BEAUTIFUL!!! You must be SO very excited.
Our member "sodakat" is EXTREMELY knowledgeable with Eclectus! You can never go wrong listening to and taking her advice.![]()
I was thinking Gumby myself hahahahahaha.
I just looked up for pale beaks on Eclectus's and it says "Pale colour beaks can indicate anaemia or vitamin deficiency." Should I bring this up to the breeder?

His feathers look very, very good and he seems bright eyed and alert. But I do think you should discuss the pale beak with the breeder. I am not familiar with this beak coloring so don't want to assume anything. You could ask if the breeder has seen this in previous clutches and if the birds' beaks eventually turned yellow. After all a candy corn beak is a trademark of Eclectus males.
I suppose it could be an anomoly for this particular chick, but I would discuss it if it were my bird. If the breeder is unsure, I think you should talk to a couple long time Eclectus breeders. I'll do some asking around for you in the meantime.
the beak is not right it may be a vitamin deficiency but i would lean more to having his liver checked, sodakat you have been breeding just as long as i have (almost) and in any of your birds have you ever had one come out that light, i have seen it before, but it took a lot of tlc to bring it back and im not trying to scare you but i would bring it up with the breeder and i would also ask to get a vet check, it mat just be a trait in his birds but after 15 years it does not look right to me.I just looked up for pale beaks on Eclectus's and it says "Pale colour beaks can indicate anaemia or vitamin deficiency."
