Clover the Green Cheek Conure!
Every time I reach out to pet my Green Cheek Conure, she would lunge out and bite me. Does anyone have any advice to offer me for her not to bite? it would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Is this a new burd? Do you trust and bond? Is this a new behavior? Is this behavior in the Cage or away from the cage?
My gcc does not like hands coming from above her head, she like me to come from chest ir side.

A search in this forum (by using the icon on the top right) yield many threads on biting. They offer many explanations each under different circumstances. For instance hormonal bites has its own remedy. you mentioned cage and bite, so Cage aggression bites or territorial bites maybe your go to search.

I recommend this thread.....
If you would like to give details of circumstances, frequency, when she bites or any thing you can think of. Don't hesitate to let us know.

Thank you to all who replied!! thanks for the help!

Clover, can you provide more information? Is this your first bird? How long have you had the bird? What scenario leads to a bite?

Bites, especially green cheeks biting is one of our leading topics. But to help , background is needed
