The drive yesterday was horrible, we ran into a terrible snow storm on the way home, but after wanting an Eclectus for 25 years, I finally have one:)
Thank goodness we didn't need the heat packs we had picked up and made it home safe and sound.
Please meet Ekko!
He is eating well and already interacting with us, talking, etc.
I love him so much already:)
Thanks to everyone for your advice about him, I really appreciate it!

Congratulations, he's beautiful.

I was wondering about you and Ekko all day yesterday! So glad for both of you that the trip went off well he is gorgeous! Congrats!!

Awww hes so beautiful congrats!

A beautiful boy, Terry. Congratulations! Hope you have many years of fun with Ekko :)

wow Terry not only did you get your dream bird, an Eclectus, but you got one that is so healthy looking and in great feather - how nice for you :)

Congratulations! Eclectus parrots are amazing! Can't believe you held off 25 years before taking 'the plunge'!

Oh, what a darling! Ekko is so green - my favourite colour for parrots. I didn't realise you'd have a horrid drive through awful weather to get him. I'm glad you arrived home safely and that Ekko is happily at home now. My old guitar is an Eko Ranger/dreadnought, so I really like his name! :)

I can't wait for an update to hear how Ekko is settling in and how it's going with the both of you :)

Congrats on your new family member. Eclectus are special birds, the longer you have Ekko, the more you will begin to realize this.

Handsome fellow you have there!! Glad the trip went safely and was uneventful.

Congrats!!

Thank you for thinking of us, Michelle:) I am so glad that the trip part is over and the enjoyment has begun!

Wow! Ekko is so pretty! How's he doing so far?
He is doing fine. Not as hungry as he was yesterday but still eating and is out of his cage looking at me now. I think he is trying to figure out what the deal is with all the other birds:)

I am so thrilled with him, he is exactly not only what, but who I always wanted! Thank you:)

Congrats!!

Thank you so much for the heat pack idea. It made me feel much more confident on the way home knowing we would have a way to keep him warm in a worst case scenario. The temp was so cold that it took an hour and a half for the truck to heat up on the way down. Thankfully it was warm in there after we got him. I am so shocked at how laid back he is, such a nice surprise.

I wonder if that's an Eclectus trait to be laid back. Our Ziggy is that way as well.

CONGRATS!!...
I hope your bird brings you as much joy as my little fellow has.
With the right diet, training and exercise he will be with you for years:green2:

ooooooo, I can relate to those drives, I am so relieved you made it home safely.

he looks good and healthy, congratulations!!
