Airhorn Eclectus Noise

My femalw Eccy has been making this noise for the 5 years I've had her. I thought she picked up this noise but it sounds like other eccys make the same noise... so i recorded her. Does yours make this noise!

Yes, mine does. Not often, and not always at a predictable time. I maybe hear it twice a week. The most common time is when I'm just entering the room he's in, but again, not always then.

That's a really pretty noise. Mine are very loud and screechy. And it's never just one!

My female eckie did an airhorn noise that was so close to the real thing, I thought someone had done something pretty cruel like startle train her using an air horn...

Then I was told it was something most of them did naturally.

Yeah.

I lived with a foster bird just like that for about six to eight months. She used her air horn with great comedic timing though... she could be very funny.
