I have a couple of videos I took of the Amazon flock and thought I would share.

I recorded something I never thought I would catch on video.
Don't tell Merlin I posted it on YouTube.

This first video is not something new but it is interesting that Merlin is objecting to Bingo's playing. It use to be Luna who would scream when bingo was having fun.

And there is 2 things that always go through my mind when Bingo is playing.

1 What would happen if I reached in with my had to touch Bongo when he is wound up like that.

2 The picture that forms in my head.

And the second video with Merlin.
This sounds worse than it is, No Amazons were injured in recording the video.

This video is interesting not just for comic relief but it shows Luna is playing with Merlin.

This morning the 2 were perched sitting together like maybe only 1-2 inches apart. always before they perch separately

DYH Amazon
I've had to reach in and pick-up a fully enraged, hormonal Amazon to move him to a safer area. And, putting one's hand in a meat grinder is a fair comparison! IMHO, putting a finger(s) near an Amazon in attack mode 'on a toy' would be much the same!

Just when one becomes a true believer that Parrots and specifically Amazon are prefect and never have a miss-step, life happens before our very eyes...

Love this statement: "This sounds worse than it is, No Amazons were injured in recording the video." ROTF in laugher! Likely, a quick pop-up and a look around to see if anyone saw the oops moment!

I have noticed that Merlin is right footed as opposed to most parrots that are left footed.
Maybe that explains it.

Trying to get some video of the twins eating corn on the cob.
Merlin holds the slice and when he is chewing on a piece Luna oh so gently reaches over and takes a bite for herself.

Yellow Shoulder Amazon, Salty
So different with Salty - thats his playful time. I can reach up to him on his chain and tease him a bit, 98% maybe more, he's very carefull of beak pressure, and even then he reacts when I express displeasure. If he's not in the mood his body language is different. I watched Merlin and I thought Man that's a happy Amazon!
