Aelxanderine parrot her name is ally she is 8months old
Hi I'm new here I have had my aelxanderine for a couple of weeks now I went to her today and has white little spots on her feathers I don't no if it's mites or lice and anyone help she has been scratching and has lost 2 tail feathers but more are growing through and she dose sneez as well but not much

Sounds like she's moulting...the white flecks you're seeing are most likely dander and crushed feather quills...they crush open the feather shafts of new feathers when they're ready to free the feather from the quill. This is also an itch time. The best thing for her right now is baths or showers, daily if able. Provide a dish with water big enough for her to fit in and deep enough for her to fit her whole body in, but not deeper than that. Provide that every day for a few hours. You can also mist her with a very fine mist bottle (don't spray her with a hard spray). If she freaks out over misting, then just provide the bath. It may take a while for her to figure it out..you could float a small edible leaf in the water to entice her. It will pass, but it will pass easier with baths. Make sure the water is cool or room temperature. Never use hot water. Good luck :)

Here is a pic but not sure if this has worked

Yup, it's bath time. Try not to do it against her will where she gets really upset about it, because it could turn her off to bathing. She might surprise you and jump right in to a bath, but if she doesn't just keep supplying it every day, just plain water. Make sure she gets plenty of rest as well, preferably 12 hours a night.
They're definitely not mites, so don't worry about that. :) I'd love so see a full pic of her!

Hello, Just a suggestion. Lee Vally for one source of misting nozels. I installed one for the parrots. Now I use it all the time even when not sharing the shower with a parrot. As hot as the water is available it has cooed by the time it reaches your body and the stall fills with steam,ah pure luxury ! However the parrots prefer it cold. Thats another point, ref Luna, when people ask " Is't it too cold for her ? ". NO any creature that will ask for a garden hose shower at 60 deg f can stand more cold than I in shirt sleeves ! D.D.
