April 2019 POTM Contest

New Beginnings
is our theme for this month’s photo contest.
Submissions may include a photo of your bird or birds
doing something new. Choose from a vast variety of first experiences.
First time to enjoy a bath, discover a new food, the first time your bird stepped up, a homecoming, a first encounter with a new friend, etc.
Here are a few examples. Please don’t limit yourself to those mentioned. I’m sure there are lots of firsts I haven’t thought of.













Submissions will be accepted through April 27th, polls will be open from April 28 through April 30th, the winner will be announced May 1st. Only photos will be accepted in this contest, photoshopping will be allowed. Only one submission per member please but you may enter as many Just For Fun photos as you’d like.

The winner will receive a Free Supporting Membership for one full year and the winning photo will be displayed on the front of our homepage throughout the month of May.

A brand new experience: Kermit’s first outdoor hike! With a cool, crisp breeze gently ruffling his feathers, and iridescent rays of sunlight hitting his back, Kermit soaks up the sights, sounds, and smells of the outdoors. The beginning of hopefully many more outings like this.
