Are orchid trees (Bauhinia lunarioides) bird safe?

I'd imagine not. The reason for this is because they might peck at it and consume a bit.

It's easier to just go online and see which trees and plants are bird safe as there are many more that are toxic rather than safe.

No, I was looking up trees the other night and I found Bauhinia spp. listed as toxic (ie. leaves, flowers, fruit and timber). I'm sorry, I can't remember the page I found but I will look for it if you like.

Okay, thanks guys. I was just asking to see if I could bring some seedlings up here for the birds to play in but I'll just stick to hibiscus
