Barking Bird

My Lilac Crown has started barking at me for hours and hours every day. He did this occasionally when in a bad mood but now it goes on too much. I try to figure out what he wants but can't. Sometimes he wants me to sing to him or do the slow movements with him. I think these are natural bird gestures but I just imitate him and he seems to like it.

I'm not doing anything differently than I have for years.

Can anyone help?

Hey Jill , welcome to the forum. How old is he? Is it a he? Could it be hormonal? Little more history and maybe a video of his behavior.

My birds don't bark, even though I tried to teach them that. However, two of my three Amazons MEOW. I once had a cat named Romeo. I used to say "What does Romeo say, and they return with MEOW.
